Top 3 types of CD Packaging:

1. Jewel Case – The jewel case is probably the most popular and most affordable CD packaging around. The removable tray within the case is usually black, but is available in alternative colours if required. A booklet of up to 32 pages will fit neatly in the cover of the jewel case, and the back of the jewel case is normally used to hold a card, printed on one side.

2. Clamshell Case – The Clam shell case or CShell is about half the weight and thickness of a standard jewel case, making it perfect for mailing. It is available in many colours, and it is even possible to personalise this type of CD packaging.

3. Trigger Case – The trigger case, sometimes referred to as an ejector pack or kick out pack, is a more unusual and innovative form of CD packaging. Like the clamshell case, the trigger case is slim, tough and lightweight, making it ideal for mail outs. With the trigger case, the CD slides into the case, in a similar manner to slipping an old LP into its sleeve. Then to remove the CD, a small coloured lever is pressed and the trigger mechanism ejects the disk.
